American Options Style
A style of option that can be excercised anytime during the contract.
For this reason, the
American style is generally considered more flexible and valued over the
European option; which may only be excercised at expiration.
The American style is the norm on the futures exchanges.
Both the European and the American styles are utilized independently
of where each occurs physically and the two styles form the majority
of all options that are in use.
